2009 Ultimate Clash of the Covers
With the end of the year approaching, we thought it would be fun to look back at all the winners of our weekly Clash of the Covers. Then we thought it would be even more fun to put them up on a poll and give visitors, fans and friends a chance to choose the Ultimate Clash of the Covers winner for 2009!
Some of the most gorgeous covers in paranormal romance have graced our site this year. We’ve enjoyed drooling over the hot heroes and falling in love with the moments the artists have captured in order to capture our attentions…and capture our attentions they did! Take a long look at this year’s Clash of the Cover winners and help us choose the best of the best. (They’re all so fabulous that won’t be an easy task! )
The winning author and artist will both receive a special Thorn button and a sterling silver rose charm.
Thank you to all the authors and artists who have been a part of our weekly Clash of the Covers. You’ve made our first year here at the Embrace the Shadows blog shine!

I can’t remember who picked Storm of Shadows by Christina Dodd, but that cover is HOT. I had to go with that one.
I really love seeing all of the covers up together. I’ve been doing the clash for a while now, and each cover has memories attached to it for me. Odd I know, but that’s how it is. I’m feeling all nostalgic, lol. Unfortunately, it is making it really hard for me to choose just one. Since voting will be all month, I think I might give it a few days and think about it before I vote…
PS – You did a great job, Barbara!
Oh wow. Those are all gorgeous, how can anyone choose?
I have to leave a comment…I voted for The Raven by Alison Paige but almost voted for Somewhere My Love by Beth Trissel. When I checked the ranking, Somewhere My Love is winning LOL. All are great covers but those are my two favs

Thank you, Suzanne:) Getting all the covers in one post was a bit of work, but I love seeing them all in one place. We really did pick some beauties this year!
PS) I had to go with Howling For My Baby. It’s strikingly different and sexy and fun. I can’t remember who the artist was for that one. Will have to go to the Samhain site and check. I just love it!
Wow! What a tough choice. So many fab-extra-lous covers!
But, I did make a choice.
Loved eight or nine of them. The rest are nice. But had to go with Howling For My Baby. Something about that one just grabs my attention.
There are so many good ones, but of course I’m biased. I had to vote for Within These Stone Walls!

I decided on Addicted. It was also nominated this year in the Cover Cafe annual cover contest. There’s just something addictive about that cover. It catches your eye and stands out as a unique with the solitary female, the red, white and black color scheme, and those corset ties….excellent cover.
Such beautiful covers! I had to go with Somewhere My Love….
