Pick your Prize Tuesday – Shifter Madness

Can anyone else believe that it’s already October? Where did September go?

October is one of my favorite times of year. I love fall in the Northeastern US. The vibrant colors of the leaves, the cool, crisp weather of fall… fantastic!

October is also associated with the supernatural, culminating on October 31st with Halloween (or All Saints Day, or Samhain, or whatever you want to call it). We here at Embrace the Shadows love anything to do with the paranormal, so we decided to hold a month long celebration to recognize the genre we love. Our “Month long Masquerade” will have new features, prizes, and a few surprises along the way.

For more information on all we are offering this month, click HERE.

We will be giving away a lot of free stuff at the end of the month. To be eligible to win, leave comments on this blog. Each day you comment you will get one chance at the drawing. The more days you comment, the greater your chances of winning!

What are these prizes, you ask? Why, you pick them, of course! Every Tuesday in October, we’ll hold a poll. The book with the most votes will be one of our prizes. Yay! All books will be gifted as ebooks via fictionwise unless otherwise noted. We will also be giving away one grand prize – a $50 gift certificate to fictionwise! Woohoo!

Don’t you love October? 😀

For this first week, we will be voting on which shape shifter story we will give away. I’ve listed the choices below, along with their cover and story summary. (Clicking on the cover will take you directly to the fictionwise site where you can learn more about the book.) So pour yourself a cup of coffee (or tea, if you are one of those tea-drinking types) and take a look. Let us know which book you’d like to win!

Option #1:

dawn's pick

Book Summary: Bride McTierney has had it with men. They’re cheap, self-centered, and never love her for who she is. But though she prides herself on being independent, deep down she still yearns for a knight in shining armor. She just never expected her knight in shining armor to have a shiny coat of fur…Deadly and tortured, Vane Kattalakis isn’t what he seems. Most women lament that their boyfriends are dogs. In Bride’s case, hers is a wolf. A Were–Hunter wolf. Wanted dead by his enemies, Vane isn’t looking for a mate. But the Fates have marked Bride as his. Now he has three weeks to either convince Bride that the supernatural is real or he will spend the rest of his life neutered—something no self-respecting wolf can accept…But how does a wolf convince a human to trust him with her life when his enemies are out to end his? In the world of the Were-Hunter–eat–dog. And only one alpha male can win.

Option #2:

big_Banks-GEyes

Book Summary: When Sheriff Duncan Kennedy finds an injured cheetah in his mountains, he brings it home, determined to find out how she got there and stop the poachers who were hunting her. When he later checks on the cheetah and instead finds a gorgeous, naked woman with an arrow in her leg, he’s completely flabbergasted. For six months, Aliyah Carver has been trapped in cheetah form. Taken by poachers who import exotic animals to illegally hunt, she stayed in animal form to avoid detection. She escaped the hunters, but now she faces another problem–a devastatingly sexy sheriff who now knows her secret. Publisher’s Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse.

Option #3:

rebecca york

Book Summary: As a werewolf, Talon is no stranger to secrets, and he can sense that the psychic Kenna is keeping something from him. But Talon is powerfully drawn to the mysterious stranger, and the urge to claim her is just as strong as the instinct to keep himself guarded. With impossible secrets keeping them apart and the threat from the other world drawing near, their fate hangs in the balance?unless they can learn to trust each other.

Theya ll look great, don’t they? Voting is open all month. The winner will be given away the last week in October! Don’t forget to leave a comment fo a chance to win the prize you voted for!
